Canton has landed on a list of the “50 Worst American Cities to Live In.”
The Stark County city ranked 20th.
The website 24/7 Wall St. based its rankings on a variety of issues, including crime rates, employment growth, access to restaurants and attractions, educational attainment and housing affordability.
The website cites Canton’s high poverty rate, violent crime rate and low educational attainment as the reasons for its high ranking.
Canton wasn’t the only Ohio city to make the list. Cincinnati was 25th and Youngstown was 21st.
The top five, in order, were: Detroit, Birmingham, Ala., Flint, Mich., St. Louis, Mo., and Memphis, Tenn.
