CLEVELAND: The stepchildren of a Cleveland man fatally shot in the city’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood in November have denied charges connected to his death.
Cleveland.com reports 34-year-old Ronald Brown pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of aggravated murder, felonious assault and other offenses stemming from 45-year-old Tyrone Pennyman’s Nov. 1 death.
Prosecutors say Brown shot Pennyman in a truck parked outside a Panna Lane home shortly after getting into an argument with the man.
Brown’s sister, Veronica, also pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, failure to report a felony and obstructing official business on Monday.
Prosecutors say Veronica Brown and another woman either witnessed or knew about the shooting but failed to report it to police.
A Cuyahoga County judge ordered the siblings held following their arraignment.
