Help kick off the holiday season
The Akron Children’s Hospital Holiday Tree Festival opens at 10 a.m. at the John S. Knight Center in downtown Akron, with 140 decorated trees, wreaths and other holiday decorations, entertainment and family-friendly activities. It runs through Nov. 27, and admission is free. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday; 2 to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. akronchildrens.org/treefestival.
Enjoy the ‘Seasons’ in Canton
The Canton Symphony Orchestra presents two different takes on the Four Seasons — the familiar one by Vivaldi and Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Piazzolla — at 8 p.m. at Umstattd Performing Arts Hall, Zimmermann Symphony Center, 2323 17th St. NW, Canton.
