TORONTO: Cavs guard Iman Shumpert is expected to play tonight against the Toronto Raptors. Shumpert said he had to make it through the team’s morning shootaround without incident, but coach Tyronn Lue said he would play.
Shumpert’s head hit the Knicks’ Kristaps Porzingis’ hip and he had wobbled as he was helped back to the locker room. Shumpert said he never blacked out and was not diagnosed with a concussion, but was placed into the protocol anyway because it was such a hard blow to the head.
“Just trying to go through whatever they tell me I gotta do,” Shumpert said. “I feel good.”
