ALLIANCE: City police are asking residents on social media to weigh in on the crime that most concerns them in the Stark County community.

Police posted a survey Thursday to its Facebook page asking residents: “What crime are you most concerned with in Alliance?”

People can choose among drugs, burglary, thefts, speeding, drunk/drugged driving, sexual assaults, murder or assaults.

“We have come a long way in making this city much safer than it was 20 years ago but we feel we can always improve further,” the survey says.

It’s unclear what prompted the survey or what police will do with the results.

Police Chief Scott Griffith couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

The survey can be found at: www.facebook.com/Alliance.Police.Department.
