Jam with Elvis Costello, the Imposters at Akron Civic Theatre

Attend Scream Fest in Canton
The Canton Palace Theatre’s Scream Fest continues all weekend, with Night of the Living Dead at 7:30 p.m. Friday. $5. On Saturday it’s the 1931 versions of Frankenstein and Dracula beginning at 7 p.m. ($5 each or $8 for both), and at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, organist Jay Spencer accompanies 1925’s The Phantom of the Opera ($10). Support good causes at Tangier
The Halloween Charity Ball runs from 8 p.m. to midnight at Tangier, 532 W. Market St., Akron, with a DJ for dancing, food, open bar, costume contest and more. Tickets are $70 at the door, $100 VIP. Remember Kenmore football
Kenmore High School coach Kemp Boyd invites fans to come to Friday’s 5 to 7 p.m. practice, which may be the last for the football team, at Brode Field (10th Street off Silvercrest). Visitors can share stories and walk around the field and locker room. The team will depart at 11 a.m. Saturday for Western Reserve Academy to play the final game of the season.
