Try your luck at the Wheel of Fortune ‘Wheelmobile’
Have you always thought you could clean up on Wheel of Fortune? The “Wheelmobile” will be at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park at 6, 7:30 and 9 p.m. Friday, and noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m. Saturday, taking applications and offering potential contestants a chance to play a simulated game. See a performance at Kent State
Irena’s Vow will close with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Kent State University’s Wright-Curtis Theatre, 1325 Theatre Drive, Kent. The play, is based on the life of young Polish Catholic woman Irena Gut Opdyke, who saved more than a dozen lives during the Holocaust. She worked as a forced laborer in Nazi-occupied Poland and used her position as a housekeeper for a German army officer to smuggle Jews into a nearby forest. She also hid 12 Jews who were slated for deportation in the officer’s basement. Experiment with spooky science
Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland is holding a “Spooktacular Science Weekend” Friday and Saturday, with fun Halloween-themed science experiments like exploding pumpkin demonstrations and Mad Science Lab presentations. Raise money for Akron Children’s
“Dancing for the Kids” pairs up local celebrities with dance students from the University of Akron to raise money for Akron Children’s Hospital’s Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program.
