‘Clowns,’ ‘Horrors’ heading out

• Coach House Theatre presents the ’60s-era comedy A Thousand Clowns at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $22, $12 for students. 888-718-4253, www.coachhousetheater.org.
Hm, that ‘Face’ looks familiar
An egotistic, charismatic TV star becomes a national media sensation and a political force. It’s not the evening news; it’s A Face in the Crowd, the 1957 Elia Kazan film that features the screen debut of Andy Griffith, in a jaw-dropping performance that’s about as far from Sheriff Andy Taylor as you can get. It’s showing at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque, 11610 Euclid Ave., at 8:40 p.m. Thursday and 6:40 p.m. Saturday; 216-421-7450, www.cia.edu/cinematheque.
Dance, drums, songs at Civic
The Creative Works Project presents music and dance pieces by children from around the Akron community along with Northern Cheyenne Tribe singers and drummers, at 7:30 p.m. at the Akron Civic Theatre, 182 S. Main St. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 children at 330-253-2488 or www.akroncivic.com.
