Take in Amy Schumer’s standup act at Quicken Loans Arena

Amy Schumer endeared herself to Northeast Ohioans when she featured hometown hero LeBron James in her movie Trainwreck, and then brought a red-carpet premiere to Montrose (even chowing down on Swensons while she was in town). Help Apollo’s Fire launch season

Apollo’s Fire launches its season with “Resplendent Purcell” at 7:30 p.m. at Fairlawn Lutheran Church, 3415 W. Market St., Fairlawn. Purcell wrote for Queen Mary’s court, including birthday and funeral pieces that will be performed in this program with vocalists. If you can’t make Thursday’s concert, the program repeats in different locations around Northeast Ohio through Sunday. Tickets are $20-$70 at 216-320-0012 or www.apollosfire.org.

Ohio Mart returns to Stan Hywet

Marking its 50th birthday, Ohio Mart runs through Sunday at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, 714 N. Portage Path, Akron. It includes art and craft vendors, children’s activities, food and a needlework exhibit. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Adult tickets are $10-$16 depending on whether you want to tour the Manor House. Watch documentary films

The Chagrin Documentary Film Fest runs through Sunday in Chagrin Falls. Of particular interest to Ohio State fans is Hang On Sloopy, about the history of the state’s official rock song, which will be shown at 6 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by band performances.
