Looking for something to do with the kids off school today?

• Fairytales and Frogs at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo invites kids to dress up as their favorite prince, princess or frog and visit the RainForest at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Families will meet princesses and frog mascots while learning about frogs and their role in fairy tales. Children 12 and under will receive free admission with paid adult admission (adult residents of Cuyahoga County and Hinckley Township receive $6.25 admission to the RainForest and free admission to the zoo). www.clevelandmetroparks.com/Zoo/Zoo.aspx.

• The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum celebrates Presidents Day with activities, including a meet and greet with President McKinley at noon and 2 p.m.; animal, science and planetarium shows; and a pizza lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 330-455-7043.

• The Twinsburg Fitness Center, 10084 Ravenna Road, is holding a pool party starting at noon, with a DJ and pizza. Tickets are $6.

What inspired Winnie-the-Pooh

Winnie-the-Pooh fans will want to check out the talk by garden historian Kathryn Aalto at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Library & Historical Society. Her book is The Natural World of Winnie-the-Pooh: A Walk Through the Forest that Inspired the Hundred Acre Wood, exploring the 6,000-acre Ashdown Forest in southeast England.
