Attend a concert at the park

The National Park Service is presenting a concert by Hey Mavis from 6:30 to dusk in the Cuyahoga Valley park. The show will be staged at Howe Meadow off Riverview Road in Cuyahoga Falls. Free. Family games start at 6:30 p.m. No alcohol is allowed. www.forcvnp.org/mim.

Enjoy music, beer in N. Canton

The fifth annual Rhythm and Brews festival runs from 6 to 10 p.m. June 22 at the Cultural Center for the Arts, 1001 Market Ave. N., Canton. The event, a fundraiser for the Arc of Ohio-Stark County, showcases beer, food and live music. Tickets are $35, or $20 for designated drivers. 330-492-5225.

Plusquellic book launch party

Former Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic and Steve Love, author of the new biography The Indomitable Don Plusquellic, will appear at a book launch party from 4 to 6 p.m. at Quaker Station, 135 S. Broadway, Akron. Books will be available for purchase. http://uakron.edu/uapress.
