Laugh it up with comic Mike Polk Jr. at Funny Stop

“Factory of Sadness” comic Mike Polk Jr. kicks off three nights at the Funny Stop in Cuyahoga Falls with an 8 p.m. show benefiting the Lori A. Listen to baroque orchestra descend into madness

You don’t expect a baroque orchestra to perform a concert titled “On the Brink of Insanity: Portrayals of Women as Mad, Crazy, and Unhinged,” but Burning River Baroque will do just that at 8 p.m. at Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, 3512 Darrow Road, Stow. A selection of pieces by G. F. Handel, John Eccles and Henry Purcell, with an original work by Malina Rauschenfels about the Salem witch trials. Groove to sounds of Bruce Hornsby at Hard Rock

Bruce Hornsby’s career didn’t end in 1986 with The Way It Is. He’s kept making music in many styles, including jazz, rock and bluegrass, playing with different groups of musicians and even touring extensively with the Grateful Dead.
