Hear UA Concert Band perform
As the end of the semester nears at the University of Akron, the school of music offers up final concerts by various ensembles. The Concert Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, the University Band at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and the Symphonic Band with guest percussionist Benjamin Toth at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, all in the Student Union Ballroom. Then the UA Symphony Orchestra and faculty tubist Christopher Blaha will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at First Congregational Church, 292 E. None Too Fragile is presenting the very black comedy The Beauty Queen of Leenane through Saturday, including an 8 p.m. show tonight.
