Enjoy a dance performance

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater arrives at Playhouse Square for three performances, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, at the State Theatre. Go fishing with the family

Looking for a relaxed evening? Summit Metro Parks is holding a family fishing program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Furnace Run Metro Park. Meet in the Brushwood Area off Townsend Road in Richfield Township. A few rods and reels will be available, and bait will be provided. See a production in Akron

It’s the last weekend for Actors’ Summit’s production of Talley’s Folly, a tale of unlikely romance that Beacon Journal arts writer Kerry Clawson called “lovely” and “romantic.” Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Greystone Hall, sixth floor, 103 S.
