Discover the ‘Power of Poison’ at Cleveland museum
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History has an exhibit on The Power of Poison running through July. It looks at the many forms poison takes in nature, and the uses humans have found for these toxins. Another exhibit on Turtle Travels aims at younger patrons. The museum opens at 10 a.m. daily; admission is $14, $10 youth, seniors and college students, free for ages 2 and under. Get ready for outdoor concerts in Cuyahoga Falls
It’s almost time for outdoor concerts, and the Cuyahoga Falls Community Band is offering a free Summer Preview Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Northampton United Methodist Church, 852 W. Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls.
Pay tribute to playwright at Playhouse Square
Playhouse Square offers a tribute to actor, singer and playwright David O. Frazier, who died March 13. He was a leading force in the development of Playhouse Square, performed in the long-running Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris among more than 150 other productions, and co-wrote 30 shows. The remaining cast of Brel and others will pay tribute at 5 p.m. at the State Theatre. It’s free.
